Well, I just realized I have really been neglecting this section of the site. Sorry about that! This was a very exciting meeting! The folks at SAE were kind enough to open their studio to us, and we tracked a live band. We use the SSL room for the space available there, and we used Nuendo as our recorder. We tracked 28 tracks at 24bit, 96K. We also got to see the Studio Networks Solutions Fibre Drive! We demonstrated the capabilities of the RME HDSP MADI card coupled with the ADI-648, and the 3 ADI 8 DS's (with Synthax colors), and one ADI-8 AE. Bryan Lenox shared with us some very valuable drum mic-ing, and processing tips, and a lot of other great information as well! Upstairs, Karl McBryde led a discussion on the RME/Steinberg HDSP soundcards, Totalmix, setting up for recording, and the Tascam FW-1884 Controller! During the question and answer session, we discussed a wide variety of topics as well. I have posted links to helpful sites related to those topics (as best I can remember them) below. Thanks to everyone for coming out and making it a LOT of fun! :)
That's all I can think of right at the moment. If I missed something, just e-mail me and I will post the link. :)

We had a really great club meeting! Steinberg North America CEO Steve Garth, Steinberg Germany CEO Manfred Rürup, Steinberg Director of Development, Thorsten Held, Steinberg North America Product specialist Greg Ondo, Steinberg VP of Sales and Marketing, Paul Rice, Steinberg US Marketing Manager, Brian McConnon, Steinberg US Sales Manager, Fadi Hayek, and other Steinberg staffers were all in attendance! We were really feeling the love from Steinberg let me tell ya! Greg did a GREAT job getting into the detail with Wavelab 4.01. It does a bunch of stuff *I* didn't even know it did! We also got to see X-phrase demonstrated, as well as Groove Agent, and Greg showed us his cool new Stem Mix Macro. Manfred was kind enough to tell us the story about how he and Charlie Steinberg started the company! Manfred, Thorsten, and Paul were also kind enough to answer some intense questions about Cubase SX, Nuendo, and the direction of the software! Thanks guys! Afterwards, we all headed over to Blackstone where we proceeded to drink some beer, and teach the German guys some of the most current American lingo like "Right On!", and "Groovy!" See ya on August 22nd!

Karl McBryde was on hand to get into the basics... and the details with us about setting up and using both Cubase SX and Nuendo. We saw some more of the amazing new featuers in Nuendo 2.0. Additionally we got to interact with each other quite a bit and discuss the ways we work, and some cool tips and tricks. We had between 35 and 40 people come out. Once again it was great to see the cool mixture of professional studio owners, the up and coming, and even brand spanking "newbies". We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting. The topic will be posted here soon!

Well, it was basically "Shock and Awe"! As part of our kickoff, Greg Ondo, Steinbergs' National Product Specialist unveiled Nuendo 2.0 to a room packed full of Cubase/Nuendo users! There was a lot of GREAT stuff to be seen! In addition to Nuendo 2.0 we got to see Virtual Guitarist, and The Grand VST Instrument plugins! It was a great time to see the future for Steinberg DAW software, and the future looks GREAT! Including presenters and yours truly there were almost 70 people there! Lot's of new friends were made, some technical problems discussed (and solved), and some new alliances made!
