Welcome to CGR Studios!
This is a medium size studio complex designed from its infancy for the
best possible combination of vibe, ergonomics, and amazing sounds!
Steve Lamm took his years
of studio experience from both sides of the glass and went about
creating a studio that does what every studio should in our minds. It
provides a REALLY cool place to hang out with great gear to provide you
a highly professional end product, and an ease of workflow you won’t
find anywhere else.
At CGR you have your choice of DAW software application running on
Mega-Fast Quad Core computers. Choose from Steinbergs Nuendo 3, Cubase
4, or Pro Tools HD 7.3. We have an MCU for hardware control of all 3 DAW
platforms. We also have an incredible Amek Mozart large format analog
console with 40 Rupert Neve designed channel modules, automation, full
patchbay, and more. It is an inline console which makes tracking a
breeze, and gives you up 120 inputs on mix (including stereo channels,
aux returns, etc). We have 48 channels of Lynx Aurora Converters. We can
split off 16 channels of the converters to another mega-fast quad core
computer that runs at sub 1ms latency and runs a variety of plug-ins in
real time for delay, verbs, and other effects. These effects can
actually be used on the analog consoles sends and returns just a like a
traditional effects box. We also have a staggering list of plug-ins for
each computer. 4 UAD-1 cards with ALL UA plug-in’s, and EVERYTHING Waves
sells in VST, RTAS, and TDM versions! We also many amazing VST-Instruments,
an 88 key fully weighted keyboard, and more. (See our equipment list).
And of course, we have several very nice rooms, several VERY high end
Pre’s and compressors, and a fantastic microphone list. We have more
than enough space and gear to track a full band with comfort! Cue mixes
are provided by the amazing Furman HDS system that allows 4 stereo mixes
and 8 mono “more-me’s” with individual effects available for each
station!
In addition to all that, we have a great lounge with free wifi
throughout the facility and computer for internet access if you don’t
have a laptop in the lounge. There is a huge deck out back with picnic
table, and more. It’s a great hang for a great price, guaranteed!
